It all began in 1948 when Bob Landwehr and Don McLauchlan founded Arrowhead Heating & Air Conditioning located at 4212 S Kedzie in Chicago. In 1962 Bob sold his interest in the company to concentrate on servicing the south and west of Chicago and created Chicagoland Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. Arrowhead moved to north Cortland Street to concentrate on the north. We have been a Carrier stocking dealer since 1962, the second oldest dealer in the Chicagoland area. From 1962 to 1995 we resided at 79th and Homan on the south side of Chicago. In 1995 we moved to our current address, 4505 Southwest Highway in Oak Lawn, which has 6000 square feet of office and warehouse space and boasts the largest showroom in the area.
Bob's son Skip started as a helper in 1970, and since graduating from Iowa State, in 1979, with a mechanical engineering major. He has taken the business to being the best and one of the largest volume dealers. Bob has since retired, 1983, and son Skip has taken over management and ownership.
In 2000 Skip's son Scott joined the Chicagoland HVAC team and is helping and maintaining the quality and personal service that has been a tradition at Chicagoland Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc.
