Tech took less than 5 min to check our AC and give a diagnosis. Proceeded to give an extremely expensive estimate to repair but tried to convince to replace the whole system. Seemed to be on a rush to leave. After the tech left, we noticed that he didn’t put back the unit correctly, leaving the screws loose.After some researching, we found the replacement parts to fix the unit total about $40, compared to the $800+ estimate we were given.My husband ended up buying the parts for $17 and changed them in less than 5 min.It is extremely upsetting how predatory the prices are for a repair so simple.

However, immediately after my service for my air conditioner, he was able to get my unit running but I didn’t feel any cool air blowing out of my vents. So I called back and was told that they could send the tech back but it would cost another $99 service fee!

The new system was installed the next day by Jacob and Jeff D. This was the day we had torrential rain and two hail storms come through. They were great! I had a problem that was a factory defect and the unit was 1 year past warranty. My serviceman Rob went above and beyond to find the problem and fix it. He could have very easily said, it's broken, you need a new unit. He did not (probably to the dismay of his boss if they read this), however his integrity and craftsmanship saved me A LOT of money. Had a new furnace installed by King. The company did not properly measure dimensions prior to installation. On the day of installation and after the old unit was removed we found out the new unit did not fit. We were forced to have to cut the entry wall and left aesthetic damage. Technicians almost left without installing the thermostat. Had to get on the phone with a representative and go back and forth with techs to clear things up. Technicians seemed upset since the start of installation due to the location of the unit being in crawl space. By the end of installation one of the techs was so frustrated with all of the aforementioned he was loudly cussing up a storm in our hallway whilst installing our thermostat. In the end we never got instructions on how to use the thermostat, they did not help with connecting it to wifi or install the extra smart sensor that came with our new thermostat. Not sure if it's standard with a new unit but they also did not replace the old filter. Lastly, they left their dirty shoe covers at the entrance and dirt smudges all over the walls of our halls and bathroom. Overall, not satisfied with the lack of professionalism throughout the installation process.

We decided to have our vents cleaned after several renovations. The two young men who came to the house from King, were AMAZING! They were very friendly, did great with our dogs and were flexible to work around another worker in the house.It took almost 6.5 hours to clean the vents and dryer, which I was surprised by. The young men said our vents were pretty dirty and even took before and after videos to show us! I could not believe how clean the vents were when they were done!They also gave recommendations on what to do over the next couple days with the furnace filter (which was filthy with loose debris). One thing that I did not expect for this was the significant improvement in my allergies. I have suffered with horrible allergies for years and within 1-2 day from the cleaning all my allergy symptoms completely went away.We highly recommend King!!!

The dreadful customer service I experienced today from King/Chicagoland was a shock. My heater stopped last night and the temp today was in the 20's. I immediately called and was told a technician would come sometime today. They didn't come until almost 5p and were extremely rude. They diagnosed a part was needed, but they didn't have it with them. They wanted a $99 service fee before they would order the part the next morning. I have been a loyal customer for many years, with installs of both heater and A/C, but a company who wants money for leaving my family in the cold has lost my business.

Had King Heating out through Chicagoland heating and cooling to fix a leak in my furnace humidifier. They merely replaced the filter at a high fee, it didn’t leak immediately when turned on (it was warm out so turned off after that), but when it kicked on overnight I had a huge puddle on my floor. They didn’t clear out hard water build up or test thoroughly enough to make sure the issue was solved. When I called in today they tried to charge me for another service visit for the issue they didn’t fix two days ago. Do yourself a favor and go to any other provider - I’m paying a different hvac company to come out now on top of the $200 I wasted on Chicagoland/King - I have ZERO trust that they know what they’re doing.

We woke up today with no heat. I called in the morning and spoke with someone and was advised I would get a call back from one of there service men. We got a call from Rob and we spoke briefly of what was the problem and he gave us a estimate time frame he may arrive, we did tell him it was urgent because we had three little kids and it is really cold today. I woke up this morning without heat. I called Chicagoland and they came out the same day. Rob came out and determined that the blower motor needed to be replaced. He was able to get the part for my furnace and complete the repair the same day. My furnace and AC is 20 years old (Chicagoland has serviced my furnace/AC annually for the past 17 years). As usual, Rob was very professional, on time, and was able to resolve the issue.Additionally, Rob shared with me the cost of other repairs that may be needed in the future. He let me know that if I wanted to replace my unit, within 30 days, the cost that I paid for the blower motor can be applied to a newly installed system. This was extremely helpful so that I know all of my options.

I had Chicagoland install a performance series carrier furnace and AC condenser. Couldn’t be happier. The price was right. Remember you get what you pay for. Yesterday my AC stopped working. I noticed the fan outside was not working. Called Chicagoland and the answering service took my information down and less than 5 minutes later a gentleman named Jerry called and told me he would be at my house in 10 minutes. To my surprise he really did show up in 10 minutes quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue in about 20-25 minutes. Jerry was very kind and explained everything. Very very professional. I would not hesitate to call them again and I plan on recommending them to all my family and friends. Only a tiny tiny negative was the price..... service call price was normal and to be expected what I thought was totally overpriced was the capacitor. Charged me 95$ for the capacitor when you can get a similar product on Amazon for 19$. That being said, I still gave them 5 stars because of the awesome service that was provided and how fast they came and fixed the issue. Thank you Chicagoland

I cannot even begin to tell you what a nightmare this company is. They DO NOT STAND BY THEIR WORK! I had a new furnace and hot water heater installed after a flood. They used old pipes for the hot water heater, it started spraying water everywhere. They didn't return my call. I had it fixed by someone else and they wouldn't honor the warranty.Yesterday, my air conditioner was leaking. I called the emergency number at 10:30. I received a return call at 3:34, 5 hours later. "Yes, this is Chicagoland Heating & Air. You had an emergency?" Yes, like 5 hours ago.And, the person that did fix my issue told me the people that installed my furnace didn't even give me a completely new furnace.I will NEVER use this place again. I am calling the Better Business Bureau about their refusal to give me the warranty information.

Had a new furnace installed by King. The company did not properly measure dimensions prior to installation. On the day of installation and after the old unit was removed we found out the new unit did not fit. We were forced to have to cut the entry wall and left aesthetic damage. Technicians almost left without installing the thermostat. Had to get on the phone with a representative and go back and forth with techs to clear things up. Technicians seemed upset since the start of installation due to the location of the unit being in crawl space. By the end of installation one of the techs was so frustrated with all of the aforementioned he was loudly cussing up a storm in our hallway whilst installing our thermostat. In the end we never got instructions on how to use the thermostat, they did not help with connecting it to wifi or install the extra smart sensor that came with our new thermostat. Not sure if it's standard with a new unit but they also did not replace the old filter. Lastly, they left their dirty shoe covers at the entrance and dirt smudges all over the walls of our halls and bathroom. Overall, not satisfied with the lack of professionalism throughout the installation process.

We decided to have our vents cleaned after several renovations. The two young men who came to the house from King, were AMAZING! They were very friendly, did great with our dogs and were flexible to work around another worker in the house.It took almost 6.5 hours to clean the vents and dryer, which I was surprised by. The young men said our vents were pretty dirty and even took before and after videos to show us! I could not believe how clean the vents were when they were done!They also gave recommendations on what to do over the next couple days with the furnace filter (which was filthy with loose debris). One thing that I did not expect for this was the significant improvement in my allergies. I have suffered with horrible allergies for years and within 1-2 day from the cleaning all my allergy symptoms completely went away.We highly recommend King!!!

The dreadful customer service I experienced today from King/Chicagoland was a shock. My heater stopped last night and the temp today was in the 20's. I immediately called and was told a technician would come sometime today. They didn't come until almost 5p and were extremely rude. They diagnosed a part was needed, but they didn't have it with them. They wanted a $99 service fee before they would order the part the next morning. I have been a loyal customer for many years, with installs of both heater and A/C, but a company who wants money for leaving my family in the cold has lost my business.

Had King Heating out through Chicagoland heating and cooling to fix a leak in my furnace humidifier. They merely replaced the filter at a high fee, it didn’t leak immediately when turned on (it was warm out so turned off after that), but when it kicked on overnight I had a huge puddle on my floor. They didn’t clear out hard water build up or test thoroughly enough to make sure the issue was solved. When I called in today they tried to charge me for another service visit for the issue they didn’t fix two days ago. Do yourself a favor and go to any other provider - I’m paying a different hvac company to come out now on top of the $200 I wasted on Chicagoland/King - I have ZERO trust that they know what they’re doing.

I woke up this morning without heat. I called Chicagoland and they came out the same day. Rob came out and determined that the blower motor needed to be replaced. He was able to get the part for my furnace and complete the repair the same day. My furnace and AC is 20 years old (Chicagoland has serviced my furnace/AC annually for the past 17 years). As usual, Rob was very professional, on time, and was able to resolve the issue.Additionally, Rob shared with me the cost of other repairs that may be needed in the future. He let me know that if I wanted to replace my unit, within 30 days, the cost that I paid for the blower motor can be applied to a newly installed system. This was extremely helpful so that I know all of my options.

Yesterday my AC stopped working. I noticed the fan outside was not working. Called Chicagoland and the answering service took my information down and less than 5 minutes later a gentleman named Jerry called and told me he would be at my house in 10 minutes. To my surprise he really did show up in 10 minutes quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue in about 20-25 minutes. Jerry was very kind and explained everything. Very very professional. I would not hesitate to call them again and I plan on recommending them to all my family and friends. Only a tiny tiny negative was the price..... service call price was normal and to be expected what I thought was totally overpriced was the capacitor. Charged me 95$ for the capacitor when you can get a similar product on Amazon for 19$. I cannot even begin to tell you what a nightmare this company is. They DO NOT STAND BY THEIR WORK! I had a new furnace and hot water heater installed after a flood. They used old pipes for the hot water heater, it started spraying water everywhere. They didn't return my call. I had it fixed by someone else and they wouldn't honor the warranty.Yesterday, my air conditioner was leaking. I called the emergency number at 10:30. I received a return call at 3:34, 5 hours later.
